Today’s the day I finally & forever give up on sports bras that have removable cups. 👋🏼

They’re the worst & I’ve had these far too long, always pushing them to the side to select mine that have molded cups bc I cannot, will not wash these one more time only to have the cup fall out in the wash, fold up creating a crease, then have to wiggle it back into the bra only to see said crease through a shirt.

Guess I needed to get that off my chest.

Why these even exist, I’ll never know.
What woman actually prefers a removable cup?

Do you have a favorite molded cup sports bra? Surely IG’s ads will target me now that I’ve mentioned it… I’ll let you know if anything comes along. 😂 I’ve been liking the Avia ones from @walmartfashion.

Will you bring us glimpses of Fall here in the humid South?
I hope there will be some Clemson wins.
I know there will be birthday celebrations!

Lots of apples and peaches and pears.
And after-work dog walks.

I wonder how we’ll grow & change.
I hope to discover a new favorite recipe.

This is not a post about dieting & needing to eat

This is not a post about dieting & needing to eat less so we can be a healthier. I don’t believe that. (Well, unless we’re talking about eating less ultra processed frankenfood. I do believe eating less of that will make us all healthier.)

America is so very sick yet we pour gajillions of dollars into healthcare every year. The more money poured into it, the sicker we get. Some people have started calling it sickcare instead of healthcare bc all they seem to do is spend money on making more drugs to give to people that will get sick. It’s all connected - our food & our medicines.

Calley’s in the political sphere & he sheds some light on some very dark things that have & are happening in DC.

I think we have a life-changing election coming up in November, moreso than the first time I could vote in 2004. We have a real chance to turn America around and give our future generations the health they deserve. You and I deserve it too.

Published my first recipe blog post tonight and am a little too excited about it. It makes my very unpolished, still-has-some-Latin-Wordpress-default-lingo, blog feel more official. So much more to come!

@whitneyaray got me hooked on making granola. I’ve made it a few different ways, but what I posted to wholejessica.com is the base. And what I make most often. Deeelish crumbled over some plain Greek yogurt. @cabotcreamery of course! Whenever possible. 👌🏼

Did you know that it’s ok to change your mind? Been doing it a lot this year and I’m still here to tell the tales. It’s ok to believe something, have an opinion about something, live a certain way for so long and then poof - change your mind about it!

Small example: I used to make fun of women I’d see out walking or running in skorts. Like, you’re not playing tennis and why are you trying to look cute while you’re exercising? After literal years of thinking they were so dumb, I bought one myself. My practical reasoning was it has side pockets to I could wear it on the beach when shark tooth hunting with my nephews and not have to deal with carrying something else to put our findings in. Genius! (Now that it’s my idea instead of someone else’s.)

And now I’m straight hooked on this skort. IT’S HOT IN SOUTH CAROLINA, Y’ALL! So I asked John to snap a pic with me wearing it for the ultimate reminder of humility. Judgey McJudgerson reporting for duty.

For sure not playing tennis. And not even trying to look cute but I mean, there’s something a little cute about a skort, amirite?

Pro tip: if you have hips and a belly and a booty, size up a size or two. It makes a big (lol no pun intended) difference in the comfort overall. I didn’t like my regular size bc the back was too short. But sized up it actually lays down (pretty much) over my bum. If you feel good in it, you look good in it.
