I’d make a Taylor Swift quip but in no way does a lucky number have anything to do with what this year has been for John and me.

This has, without a doubt, been the most difficult year in our marriage - individually & as a couple. When you’re married, you don’t get to live in a silo. Your struggles are shared just as much, or maybe even more so than your passions.

In a Catholic marriage, you reorder things: God, spouse, then self (and then the kids if you’re blessed to have any.)

In the best of Catholic marriages, you screw up that order at least once a day. 😂

When we entered into this covenant with God in front of our family and friends, we didn’t know what we were getting into. Not really. I don’t think anyone does.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we love each other, we promise to forever. Can we go celebrate now?

In the hardest year of our married life, we have grown closer & stronger than I think we ever have been. When it might feel like we should have been broken, I feel like we connected. God continues to guide us. And praise BE for that because we sure can’t do this without Him! I feel like we have leaned into this Holy Sacrament in a new way and I pray the next 13 years are the best yet! (Please God, hear our prayer.)

No one wants to go through hard times. But I’m grateful for the tough this year has been if only because I feel more solidified in my yes to John than I did the day I said it.

Today’s the day we have the privilege to choose; a privilege given to us by living in the greatest country in the world. A privilege people voted for before our time. For their future generations - us.

Today’s the day we get to use our individual voice to vote for the America we want.

Today’s the day we vote for who we think will be the best leader of our country for the next four years. And for our future generations.

We the people own this country. If you want a voice in how your power is used, go vote.

I truly hope you’ll take advantage of this great privilege. (Or have already.) America can be great again.

Today’s the day I finally & forever give up on sports bras that have removable cups. 👋🏼

They’re the worst & I’ve had these far too long, always pushing them to the side to select mine that have molded cups bc I cannot, will not wash these one more time only to have the cup fall out in the wash, fold up creating a crease, then have to wiggle it back into the bra only to see said crease through a shirt.

Guess I needed to get that off my chest.

Why these even exist, I’ll never know.
What woman actually prefers a removable cup?

Do you have a favorite molded cup sports bra? Surely IG’s ads will target me now that I’ve mentioned it… I’ll let you know if anything comes along. 😂 I’ve been liking the Avia ones from @walmartfashion.
